Why don’t we kick things off with you telling us about yourself
Hi all! My real name is Laura. On here, I go by Jayne, which is my middle name. I’m 22 and from North Carolina, USA. I just graduated from college where I majored in Political Science. As many of you know, I’m crazy about Japan. I got to study there for a while and plan to move there permanently.

How would you describe your sense of style?
Avant-garde maybe. I’ll work with whatever I have. I like to see and put together all sorts of styles. As far as what I like to wear, I prefer either punk or Victorian gothic style depending on the weather and what I’m doing. Japanese visual kei music is also a big influence on my personal style.

What other websites do you hang out at?
I’ve been going on looklet.com recently. Mostly though, I lurk on the sites of my favorite clothing labels and bands.

How did you find out about Avenue7? Do you have any ideas on how we can get the ‘Avenue7’ word out more quickly?
I was looking for dress-up sites and stumbled across it. Advertising on other fashion sites is probably the best way to get the word out.

Tell us a little about what you use Avenue7 for and why?
Avenue7 is mostly a creative outlet for me. I’ve spent the last four years reading about court cases and policy making so it’s very refreshing to work with shapes and colors. I especially like Avenue7 because I can add anything I want so the sky is the limit to my creativity.

Tell us how you go about creating an outfit? Where do you get your inspiration from?
I usually start with a piece that I really like and look through my items until I develop a feeling or an idea that I want to convey and then run with it. I get inspiration from music, books, experiences, anything and everything.

What are your 3 favourite outfits on Avenue7 and why?

I like this because it’s cute and creepy at the same time. I just love the combination of those two themes.

I really admire *Gemma<3 for making this outfit. It’s so difficult to make something interesting without relying on color. I also like it because it looks pure and beautiful but it’s dismal at the same time. I’m such a pushover for contrast.

When I first saw this outfit I thought “This is art!” Really, I love all of Pauline S’s outfits. She always adds just the perfect amount of color and detail, never too little or too much.

What fashion trends are cool where you live now?
The city I live in is a huge hippy haven. T-shirts with peasant skirts have been in for a while. Anything earthy is all the rage.

If you could win a shopping spree with any famous person, who would it be and why? [This was a question asked by last week's featured user *ashlee*]
Probably Ruki from the GazettE. He seems really nice and has great style. He’s one of those people that can pull off absolutely anything and he loves to shop.

Lastly, any suggestions for things you would like to see on Avenue7 and shout outs to people?
Suggestions: Narrower categories for items when constructing outfit would be AWESOME! As it is now, I dread looking for something in the accessories category.
