Designer of the Week: Mary

This week's featured designer is Mary, owner of the label Stranger in a Strange Land.... We think her style and designs are gorgeous! She is definitely one of the 'undiscovered' talented designers on Avenue7. So check out her style and you'll see what I mean.

What don’t we kick things off with you telling us about yourself?
I'm Maria from Poland. I am 16. My hobby is fashion, but I love reading books and listening to music too. I like dogs and travelling.

How would you describe your sense of style?
My sense of style... hmm it change every day because I don't like monotony. It depends from my mood and many other things. So one day I make very colourful outfit and next day I make a black and white one.

Tell us a little about what you use Avenue7 for and why?
Because I just love clothes... I can looking for accessories that look good with the rest of clothes for few hours. And I like watching outfits made by other members of Avenue7 and looking for inspiration.

Tell us how you go about creating an outfit? Where do you get your inspiration from?
Sometimes I create an outfit to title but in 90% my outfits are creating to one thing I found... And as I wrote in previous question I always get inspiration from outfits other people.

What are your 3 favourite outfits on Avenue7 and why?
M: I don't know why I like it but when I look at it I smell the coconuts:)

What fashion trends are cool where you live now?
As always in summer... jeans shorts, dresses, T-shirts with flower prints and bright colours of every element clothing.

How did you come up with the name for your Fashion Label?
It's the title of one of favourite songs. And many people thinks I'm different so I chose that.

Any suggestions for things you would like to see on Avenue7 and shout outs to people?
No I think Avenue7 is good now so don't need to change...

Who said that I want to be a fashion designer? Ok yeah it's my dream... Why? I just love to do it... And I think that people should have a thing that they love to do because there is a lof of stressful moments in our lives so we should do something that relaxes us.
